| 摘要： | 511 is continuing its expansion across the country. For example, in October of 2003 the ten millionth 511 call was received. There have been over 1 million calls made every month to 511 during the December 2003 to March 2004 timeframe. As of April 30th, 21 services in 20 states are operational. Having grown in 2003 from 13 deployments to 20, 511 is now available to over 56 million Americans, or more than 19%of the nations population. New states that came online in 2003 were Montana, Vermont, North Dakota, Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire and Oregon. December 2003 saw the first time that monthly calls nationwide reached 1 million. Several resources aimed at helping potential and current 511 deployers were developed and released during 2003. A web site dedicated to collecting 511 specific information was launched, accessible at www.deploy511.org. Regional Interoperability, Weather, Transit and Roadway Content Deployment Assistance Reports were released as well. The second national 511 conference, attended by over 150 transportation officials, took place in October in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. |
