摘要：	Central State University has been conducting a Summer Transportation Institute (STI) since 2000 with the support of the Federal Highway Authority (FHWA) and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Typically about twenty high school students from Grades 9-11 are brought for a four week institute where they learn about different modes of transportation, career opportunities and the basics of physics and mathematics. Professionals from external agencies associated with transportation teach the elements of their professional work for the students and encourage them to consider careers in transportation.
