| 摘要： | Air carriers are embracing innovative solutions to find new efficiencies and market opportunities. One example is Finnair, where a simple modification to the weight specifications of 10 of its 17 Airbus 350 twin-aisle jets has made it possible for the airline to carry nine tons of extra cargo and passengers on aircraft flying on key Asia routes that are forced to detour around Russia because of the war in Ukraine. The new routes consume more fuel and can take up to four hours longer than before. Oversize and heavy cargo carrier Coyne Airways is now listing freight capacity with online marketplace maker Airblox.com to optimize capacity and increase efficient operations. The goal, says Larry Coyne, founder and CEO of Coyne Airways, "is to provide consumers with the air capacity they require on the terms that best suit them whether on a block space or per kilo basis." Air Canada Cargo recently became the first North American carrier to join CargoWise to enhance its digital capabilities. The e-booking platform gives customers real-time access to schedules, pricing, and booking. |
