| 摘要： | The ITE Headquarters has been at 1627 Eye Street in downtown Washington, DC, USA since 2010. Located in the heart of the city about two blocks from the White House, the location is convenient for both staff and visitors and close to two Metro stations. Being in the nation's capital allows us easy access to the United States Department ofTransportation leadership and staff, along with our many association partners. It provides ITE staff with the ability to easily participate in the many transportation-related meetings and events held in Washington DC. Our original 15-year lease, signed in 2010, provided for 12,000 square feet of space on two floors. However, several functions (e.g., publication fulfillment) were subsequently outsourced, decreasing our space needs significantly. Efforts to turn space back to the building owner and sub-lease space to other tenants were largely unsuccessful. However, through extended negotiations with the building owner and another building tenant, we were successful in coming to an agreement allowing us to consolidate our space needs and significantly reduce our rent expenses. |
