摘要：	Getting involved with professional organizations exposed me to people from all levels of experience in the transportation field ... I had always wondered how could I learn more about their inspirations and get guidance on how to be impactful to my society through transportation. When I found out about the mentoring program, I did not shy away from reaching out to different individuals who inspire me. A mentor is someone you can talk to about your goals and they can help advise you on several steps towards and during your career. I find the best way to get a mentor is reaching out to people who are doing the things you do or aspire to do. People in the ITE community are always willing to share their experiences and assist students in transitioning to their dream careers. The mentoring program through the ITE community is one great way to reach out to mentors. As a student, I am always looking to learn beyond what we are taught in school. I have learned so much about leadership, communication, professional etiquette, and other soft skills from my mentors. I encourage my fellow students to tab advantage of the program.
