They've been integral to the magazines success since its inception as The Petroleum Transporter in 1937. But private-equity involvement continues to grow, fueling another active year in the mergers-and-acquisitions market in 2022. The Tenney Group, which specializes in trucking M&A, called last year an "incredibly active year [in the] transportation-and-logistics, mergers-and-acquisitions-space" in its 2023 Annual Report; and Spencer Tenney, the groups CEO, said in a recent Truckload Carriers Association webinar he doesn't see M&A activity slowing in 2023, despite inflationary challenges, and growing potential for recession. |
