The tank trailer subsidiary of MAC Trailer Enterprises recently purchased a facility situated on 15.85 acres in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., where it plans to invest $10 million-including $7 million in New Market Tax Credits-to develop a 105,000-square-foot production center with office space to meet the company's growing needs. The facility is located about 150 miles northwest of Detroit at 1799 Gover Parkway. "The Michigan expansion is an important step forward in the diversification of the MAC LTT product offerings," said Matt Niemeier, vice president of MAC LTT. "We will focus on the production of tank trailers designed for the transport of dairy, foodgrade and chemical commodities." The other MAC LTT production facilities located in Kent, Ohio, and Billings, Mont., specialize in the production of tank trailers and truck-mounted tanks designed for the transport of petroleum, petro-chemicals, crude oil and asphalt. |
