摘要: |
The major objectives of this research are to: (1) Reveal and quantify the dynamic features of dilemma zones in Ohio through analyzing the ground-truth vehicle trajectory data extracted by using the video-capture-based technology; (2) Build up microscopic simulation test bed in VISSIM embedded with the above modeling results to provide the capability of evaluating advance loops placement at high speed signalized intersections in terms of operational efficiency and dilemma zone protection; (3) Evaluate the current ODOT practice and create the optimum alternatives that aim to balance operational efficiency and dilemma zone protection. / Title Note: Executive summary rept. / Supplementary Notes: See also PB2011-103853, Final Report.
