| 摘要： | The ability to discriminate flaws that do and do not affect pipeline integrity is important for low stress pipelines which are subject to new Department of Transportation (DOT) pipeline integrity management regulations. Current federal regulations do not provide guidance on the need to repair mechanical damage to low stress pipelines. The objective of this research is to demonstrate that flaw acceptance criteria normally applied to high stress pipelines are overly conservative and may be relaxed for low stress pipelines. |
