We talk a lot about the importance of volunteers to IMSA. You have likely heard a lot about their role in our certification exam efforts. The fact is that volunteering makes the work of IMSA possible. That also includes the Board of Directors. These individuals give their time to help guide the direction of IMSA and how it impacts our members. In this new section of the IMSA Journal, we will be introducing you to each of our board members. First up is Craig MacKenzie of the British Columbia Section. IMSA Joumal: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Craig MacKenzie: As a member of IMSA since 1996,1 have been active as an officer of the British Columbia Section and presently represent the section on the Council of Delegates. I previously served as a member of the IMSA Board of Directors, starting in 2006, and was president of IMSA during the 2009-2010 term. Since then, I have remained involved with IMSA, serving on several committees and workgroups, and in 2022,1 found my way back to the Board of Directors. My working career spanned 40 years with the city of Vancouver, and I was the traffic and electrical superintendent at the time of my retirement in 2016. |
