After a year-long review of the Welsh Roads Review report by an independent panel of experts, last month the Welsh Government accepted most of its recommendations and halted the majority of its road building projects. Of the 51 schemes assessed, only a quarter will go ahead - the rest rejected or revised. The decision has obvious implications for transport policy in the rest of the UK, but also initiated serious concerns in the construction industry.
