摘要：	A DEPT holds an annual President's awards ceremony, celebrating the collaborative and innovative projects of members and partners across the country. This year's winner of the Digital Innovation and Technology category (sponsored by Ringway] was Milton Keynes Council for its demand-responsive bus service, MK Connect. Unlike many other local authorities, the council had been maintaining a large proportion of its network as subsidised bus services for a significant amount of time. This amounted to 11 services or around one third of the network - obviously, this was not sustainable forever. We started to look at practical options for what we could change. We were acutely aware, however, that cutting all support would leave some areas in Milton Keynes without any commercial bus service at all.
