| 摘要： | SWUK has a longstanding commitment to protect the environment - to keep our workforce and communities safe and protect the planet. It is at the heart of our joint vision with highways authorities, and we are proud to work closely with utilities, contractors, suppliers and highway authorities as we move towards net zero. SWUK and its members have been acting under the EA's Regulatory Position Statement 211 (RPS 211) for all 'unplanned' excavated material arisings since 2019. This RPS exists to deal with the sheer volumes of waste produced at small sites - usually emergency repairs and other fast turnaround jobs - that would face significant delays due to laboratory testing under existing waste management rules and could cause backlogs for testing, storage and management that would knock on across the whole construction sector. |
