Immediate past president of ADEPT, Mark Kemp, has announced it is time 'to hang up my local authority boots' after an illustrious career in public service where he held a string of senior positions at major authorities, as well as providing sector leadership through professional bodies, panels and boards. He stepped down as executive director of environment and transport at Hertfordshire CC in September and has taken up a part-time role supporting the newly formed Local Government Advisory Unit at WSP as a director of local transport. Over the years, Mr Kemp has also held place services roles at Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire county councils. He is also a member of the Road Expert Panel at the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), chair of the UK Network Management Board and a former chair of ADEPT'S Transport and Connectivity Board. |
