The winners of the Highways Awards 2022 were announced last month at a glittering gala dinner in a packed, new and larger venue. Star turn Ed Byrne and Highways editor Dominic Browne led the proceedings at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, with a thoughtful contribution from the chief judge, the Institute of Highway Engineers president Martin Polland. The evening also raised more than £1,500 for Highways' charity partner, Mind. The Apprentice of the Year Award went to Daniel Johnson of Ringway Jacobs (Cheshire East Highways), while the Lifetime Achievement Award recognised the huge contribution to the industry made by Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) founder Will Britain, who retired from Blackpool Council this year. |
