| 摘要： | In May, National Highways published its 'Initial Report' on the third (2025-30) Road Investment Strategy (RIS 3) and alongside it, Connecting the Country: our long-term strategic plan to 2050. Although the company has previously described its 2040 zero harm ambition as 'more than just a target', the Initial Report referred to the concept of 'zero harm' many times without mention of the 2040 deadline. Similarly, Connecting the Country makes no mention of zero harm by 2040. In fact, its timeline states that by 2050 'we will be approaching zero harm on our network'. Invited to explain this the company said that the document was 'open to feedback'. |
