| 摘要： | Mr Legg seems to be one of those lucky people who have always known exactly who they are and so honesty and integrity come naturally to them. It is a recipe for a life lived with few secrets and few regrets. As his new boss, Econ MD Jonathan Lupton says: 'As I got to know Gareth I liked his ways; he has no edge.' His life and career so far demonstrates the point well enough. He was heavily influenced early on by his father, who worked as a captain in the Merchant Navy and as a marine pilot on very large crude oil carriers. He studied marine environmental science at university and then 'because Dad worked abroad, I always wanted to go and travel,' Mr Legg says. 'I joined the oil and gas industry straight out of university and it was brilliant. I went around the world in my twenties. I lived in the Middle East, Norway, and rotated out of Algeria towards the end of that career. I did 10 years in oil and gas.' His mother was a teacher and no doubt had an equally strong influence on Mr Legg's honest and straightforward character. |
