| 摘要： | There is one advantage to the extreme cold we saw in parts of the country this season -it's easier to know what to expect. As Richard Hogg, senior commercial manager at MetDesk, points out: 'For MetDesk's UK-based meteorologists, marginal winters with night after night of low variable cloud conditions pose the greatest challenge. So far this winter, we've not seen too many of those types of conditions but it has been interesting. We've predominantly seen periods of wet and windy weather interspersed with a week or two of cold conditions. It was certainly a later start to winter compared to recent years.' He adds that wider changes in the sector are having an impact on what is required of weather forecasters. |
