| 摘要： | Society President Adam Fraser-Hitchen has been conducting a review of the Society's governance structure, working with six past presidents and the wider SOE Board to develop a model for the future. The result, while not affecting our members' rights, the Professional Sector Councils (PSC), the Society's relationship with other professional engineering institutes, or our licensing accreditation, constitutes an important change to the SOE's governance. On 8 February 2022, the SOE's Trustee Board met and voted in favour of changes to the structure of the Society's Board and Head Office. At a subsequent meeting on 4 March 2022, the Trustee Board resolved that an interim structure would be adopted ahead of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held on 31 May 2022. Changes linked to the interim structure moving to a permanent structure will be incorporated into an amended Memorandum S Articles of Association which eligible members will be able to vote on at this EGM. |
