| 摘要： | IRTE Northern Centre Hon. Secretary and PSC member Neil Mitchell visited the Brunei and Western Regional Group in February to give a CPD presentation to its members and guests entitled, "Was That Avoidable?" Neil, a DVSA Enforcement Vehicle Examiner for over 25 years, had compiled the presentation from his vast collection of video clips and photos of defects of commercial vehicles and PSV's, found at roadside inspections and the annual MOT test. The presentation was intended to elicit speculation among the audience of transport engineers about the causes of the defects present on vehicles or trailers. This generated some interesting debates during the evening as the audience decided whether it was a failure by the driver to identify the defect on a daily check, poor maintenance standards or just a random failure of the component part. |
