A former Coca-Cola Enterprises manager has been sentenced to 20 months in prison, suspended for 21 months, and ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work, after being found guilty of five counts of corruption and bribery. The 56-year-old former senior engineering manager took more than £1.5m in bribes from 2004 to 2013 by providing Boulting Group, Tritec Systems, and Electron Systems with confidential and sensitive data. His actions helped those companies gain an advantage over rivals in contract bids that would allow them to carry out electrical services even though little or no work was ever carried out or even needed in the first place. |
