Next Gen Makers has confirmed a range of companies have joined a programme over the past year to tackle the skills crisis facing UK manufacturing. The companies that have joined the Next Gen Makers Best Practice Programme include Collins Aerospace, Cummins, RBSL, Thyssenkrupp Materials, Renishaw, and Sulzer. Next Gen Makers launched the programme last year with MSC Industrial Supply to help engineering and manufacturing firms identify skills gaps within their organisation and improve the quality of their apprenticeship schemes. It has established a group of more than 50 engineering and manufacturing firms as part of its programme. |
