Textar brand ownerTMD Friction has awarded some of its key customers special status as an approved commercial vehicle brake relining centre, in the first-of-a-kind accreditation by the braking friction specialist. The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI)-accredited scheme sees several TMD Friction customers approved as trusted braking relining centres. Companies are accredited by site. One customer, Dingbro, has had 13 sites accredited. All of the other companies have had only one site accredited. They are, in alphabetical order: All Spares, CV Logic, Fleetwheels, Grannings Nass, LCP, Picksons, Waveney Truck Parts, Wessex and Wrightparts. Scott Irwin, head of technical training at TMD Friction, said: "We're delighted to offer this seal of approval to provide confidence and rubber stamp their credentials. It's imperative that the standardised TMD process for brake relining is followed for commercial vehicles as it is a safety-critical component." TMD Friction's technical training programme enabled its customers to satisfy IMI criteria for the standardised process for correct, safety-conscious relining of CV brake assemblies. |
