Allison Transmission's new eGen Power 130S includes new suspension systems, V-rod brackets, banjo housing, brakes, wheel ends and axle spindle designed specifically to support the heavier 13-tonne gross axle weight rating, which is often required by commercial vehicles in Europe. The 130S uses a single motor to generate 225kW of continuous power, with a peak power of 325kW, and 26,000Nm of torque at the wheels. It also features a two-speed parallel axis gear architecture, efficiently meeting application launch and highway cruise demands, while maximising energy recovery through 100% regenerative braking capability. In other news, the OEM has signed a joint cooperation agreement (JCA) with Anadolu Isuzu of Turkey to integrate Allison eGen Power 100S electric axles into its light-duty truck and midibus platforms for refuse, distribution and public transportation applications. In addition to being an established producer of buses and trucks locally, Anadolu Isuzu's designers and engineers are developing next-generation electric vehicles for Europe. The eGen Power 100S e-Axle integrates a high-speed electric motor and a multi-speed transmission and offers continuous power of 227kW. |
