After more than 12 years working on Transport Engineer, advertisement manager Craig Molloy has retired. The advertising stalwart launched the title in 2010 when contract publisher MA Business (then Findlay Media) won the business. His replacement is commercial manager Kim Reddick, who joins after 15 years at publisher Metropolis International (formerly emap). Alexander Dennis has received an order for 200 low-emission Enviro400 double-deck buses from Stagecoach. The 200 buses will have Alexander Dennis's SmartPack efficiency technology, giving them Low Emission Bus status. The Go-Ahead Group has agreed to buy Dartline, an Exeter-based operator that has a fleet of 84 buses, coaches and special education needs taxis. Following the acquisition, the Go South West business unit will comprise four customer-facing brands operating 380 buses and coaches, employing a workforce of 900 people. CheckedSafe has become a partner of the government-backed Driving For Better Business scheme. It is designed to help employers in private and public sectors to reduce work-related road risks, control associated costs and improve transport compliance. |
