摘要：	EQUIPMAKE has showcased its repower technology on a Van Hool T917 coach from the Westway Coach fleet (pictured), providing a pure electric range up to 220 miles. The coach's diesel engine was replaced with an Equipmake ZED featuring a 545kWh battery pack, consisting of five individual batteries, all located at the rear, alongside electric motors (two 3,500Nm HTM models), inverter and efficiency-maximising HVAC system. In-service testing is set to begin in summer with the objective that further Westway vehicles are repowered over the coming months. Electric bus builder BYD has moved to new UK premises near Heathrow airport. Its new facility offers an office, workshop with multiple bays, and, crucially, a large parts store with a capacity of double the previous facility in lver, Buckinghamshire. The increase in parts holding is apparently a recognition by the company of the need to better support the market. It is backed up by another parts store at its European headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
