The high-profile park-&-ride service in Oxford could be withdrawn unless government funding is continued, according to the city's Go-Ahead subsidiary. Oxford Bus released a long list of routes, including some run by Thames Travel, divided into three categories -reduced frequency, under threat and complete withdrawal. In the latter category are city routes 4B, 4C, 9, 11, 13 and 20, alongside the two cross-city park and ride routes 300 and 400. These link four park-&-ride sites, offering a total of about 4,500 parking spaces. Frequencies are a little below the pre-Covid offering, in particular with Saturday enhancements no longer offered on the east-west 400 route linking Thornhill and Seacourt. They now require a fleet of around 12 buses. |
