| 摘要： | VDL Bus & Coach is pushing ahead with plans to build a new energy-neutral electric bus factory in Roeselare, Belgium after a delay caused by uncertainty over the Covid pandemic. Construction is underway at the eight-hectare site and the plant will replace the existing Roeselare facility in the town south of Bruges. The factory will turn out new-generation eCitea electrics from January 2023. The expansion was first announced two years ago. "We want to remain at the forefront of e-mobility in Europe," said VDL chief Henk Coppens. "The call for zero-emissions is growing everywhere." According to VDL, 75% of all public transport will be electric by 2025. |
