摘要：	The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking, better known as BEST, operates over 3,000 vehicles in the Indian city of Mumbai and is to lease 900 zero-emission double-deckers by June 2023 as part of a plan to be all-electric by 2027. Besides the technology, this is a big operational change for an operator that currently has just 48 double-deckers, but what caught Neil Barker's attention was the publicity accompanying the announcement and the highly recognisable (to our eyes) bus that BEST would have us believe it will lease. Not a product of Ashok Leyland, which built the double-deckers running there now and owns our own dear Switch Mobility, manufacturer of the erstwhile Optare's Metrodecker electric, but the New Routemaster-styled SRM body that Wrightbus produced in 2016 on eight Volvo chassis for RATP and Go-Ahead London.
