Dave Kirwin encountered former Crosville KG150 (LFM 731), a 1950 Bristol LL5G with rear-entrance ECW body, at the former Battersea Power Station development in inner south-west London, converted into, a bar and promoting Sipsmith gin. Even the formerly red telephone kiosk alongside is part of the same corporate advertising look. The eye-catching single-decker, which used to have 39 seats, was in preservation before, restored to its original livery and an active participant in rallies and running days in various parts of the country. Tony Wilson's picture shows it at a Peak Park gathering in June 2016. Several others of similar age and type remain preserved. |
