| 摘要： | On a recent visit to Istanbul primarily for an important football match, Robert Missen also made time to explore the Turkish city's transport system and was touched to see that it still holds Old Mother Leyland in fond regard. A poster from 2021 marking 150 years of public transport features an MCW-bodied Leyland as one of two significant vehicles that entered the fleet of city operator IETT - Istanbul Elektrik Tramvay ve Tuenel or Istanbul Electric Tram & Tunnel Company if you prefer - in 1968. The poster was in one of the two stations of the Tuenel, an underground funicular railway opened in 1871 and the world's second oldest underground after London's. |
