He also will long be associated with the bus that adorns the cover, his pride and joy, 1950 Birmingham City Transport Crossley DD42/6 2489 (JOJ 489) which has been in preservation since shortly after it came out of service in 1969 and is the only surviving Birmingham Crossley. He was two years old when it was new. |
