Designated 'Sigma,' the new battery electric line-up comprises six individual models, with overall lengths ranging from seven to 12 metres, with gross vehicle weights from eight to 19 tonnes. Width and passenger door configurations add further options. The company called the launch 'the most significant repositioning of Mellor's commercial activities in its history.' It is better known for its smaller vehicles, largely minibuses or 'small buses,' which are a common choice for demand responsive transport, community transport or bus routes with low patronage. Mellor claims to offer 'a significant weight saving across all models compared to competitor vehicles.' |
