The Plaxton Panther body had been around for 13 years in 2012 when it was announced that it was to be built in 10.8m form as the Panther Cub. Initially, the Panther Cub used the Volvo B9R chassis, with an unregistered demonstrator present at the 59th UK Coach Rally at Alton Towers in April 2013. This passed later to Co. Antrim operator Logan's Tours of Dunloy as YX14 SDV, along with production example YX14 SEO. There was one at Alton Towers in April 2014 too and it was this that went to Prospect Coaches of Lye in the West Midlands, taking to the roads as PN64 KRN in January 2015. It then returned to Alton Towers in the following April, at the 61st UK Coach Rally, where it was awarded the Plaxton trophy for the best Plaxton-bodied vehicle. |
