This year's Royal Blue and Associated Motorways vintage coach run helped mark the 50th anniversary of the National Bus Company's white coach livery and 90 years of Victoria Coach Station and went on to spend three days - June 17 to 19 - travelling through the Midlands and west of England. After gathering at Victoria, where the coach station opened on March 10, 1932, ten of the participating coaches - nine Bristols and a Leyland Leopard -departed en masse through the main exit in Elizabeth Street. Back in their day, Royal Blue services used the back exit into Ebury Street, but the main exit is far more photogenic. |
