| 摘要： | The 2022 UK Bus Awards provided an interesting window into the state of the UK bus industry. On the one hand, many of the 22 award categories were loaded with examples of innovation, clever initiatives and hard work. On the other, the Operator of the Year awards were very light on shortlisted entries, with three top operator categories not awarding a bronze at all. It's symptomatic of the everyday battles bus operators are righting. Struggling with staff shortages, changing travel patterns, the legacy of Covid-19, pressure on wages and endless disruption from road works and traffic congestion, amongst countless other factors, will provide plenty of opportunities to highlight the heroics of individual staff. However, it will leave few operators confident enough to contest operator of the year titles. |
