Operation of routes H32 (Hounslow - Southall) and H91 (Hammersmith - Hounslow West) will pass from London United to Abellio London West and Metroline respectively from March 2023. Both routes will use New Routemaster buses. Some journeys on the H32 are currently provided by similar buses from Hounslow garage although the bulk of its allocation comprises Scania Omnicitys. The new contracts for both routes will be five years long. New seven-year contracts will see Go Ahead London introduce battery electric buses to three more routes in south east London. Its London Central operation will take over route B13 (Bexleyheath - New Eltharn) from January 2023 although the peak vehicle requirement (PVR) for the route, which currently requires six buses, is yet to be confirmed. It is expected that the current 15-minute daytime frequency will be reduced. The B13 was introduced in 1988 and initially operated by Bexleybus, the low- cost operation set up by London Buses based at Bexleyheath garage. In 1991 it passed to London Central. In 1999 retendering saw Arriva Kent Thameside take over and, in 2016, it was transferred to Arriva London North. |
