Pollution from vehicle exhausts is a key factor in poor urban air quality, with many cities having taken steps to reduce the threat to health this poses. Chinese cities have been notorious for poor air quality but stricter measures on vehicle emissions and the removal of old generation diesels from the roads have seen some, like Shanghai, make huge improvements in air quality in recent times. |
