The plan aims to make a transportation system with "safer people, safer roads, safer vehicles, safer speetis-, and better post-crash care". However, it will also create an estimated 4,000 more work zones in the next two years, an increase of 18%. According to past statistics and trends, that increase alone could put 155 more roadside workers at risk of a fatal accident. |
