摘要：	Specialist testing equipment manufacturer CONTROLS is constantly upgrading its army of machines to improve ease of use and reliability of results. Its two most recently updated machines for asphalt testing are the GYROCOMP EmS and PAVELAB50 Pro. "Laboratories are looking for machines which are easy to use, easy to maintain and which deliver affordable tests and reliable results," reports CONTROLS' head of sales, Roberto Brenna. The new version of the GYROCOMP, a gyratory compactor miming asphalt compaction by a field roller, sees an electro-mechanical actuator replacing the old one, which ran on compressed air. CONTROLS has switched several machines to electro-mechanical systems, developing the technology needed through its in-house R&D department, with the Gyrocomp representing the latest example. As Brenna says:: "We wanted to make sure that it met all the testing requirements and specifications."
