| 摘要： | This report consists of 20 papers that explore warning lights in nighttime work zone tapers; travel time reliability in work zones; forced-detour traffic in a rural work zone; impact of monetary penalties on work zone speed; work zone speed-flow relationships; lane closure computer tools based on a geographic information system; and the regional impact of roadway construction on traffic operations. This issue of the TRR also examines estimations of delay and queue length in work zone bottlenecks; truck-mounted changeable message signs for work zones; evaluation of ASTM standard test method E2177; pavement markings condition assessments with image processing; assessment of sign retro-reflectivity compliance; driver visibility needs under wet night conditions; pavement markings service life and maintenance; organic deicers for winter road maintenance; automatic vehicle location and TowPlow for winter maintenance operations; anti-icing strategies; time headway under good and adverse weather conditions; rural two-plus-one-lane highway in a cold region; and the impact of inclement weather on freeway traffic speed. |
