摘要: Acting on a petition by Secretary of Labor Arthur J. Goldberg, the U.S. District Court in Charleston, S.C., last month issued an injunction restraining Detyens Shipyards Inc., Wando, S.C., from future violations of the Labor Department's safety regulations under the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, as amended (Public Law 85-742). District Judge J. Robert Martin Jr., gave the shipyard 10 days in which to comply with Section 41 of the act. General-Manson, a joint venture combine composed of General Construction Co. and Manson Construction and Engineering Co., launched a floating concrete plant recently to supply materials for 4,000 linear feet of precast beam and slab needed to build an over water viaduct for the approaches to the new Lake Washington Floating Bridge in Seattle.
