| 摘要： | This project aimed to improve the efficiency of graffiti abatement in California. With the exception of highway signs, particularly retroreflective signs, graffiti removal techniques are largely well developed. The project first focused on developing a tool to allow maintenance workers to clean signs from the ground. Due to the sensitivity of the sign surfaces, testing of different tool characteristics became the focus. Technical issues with component selection for the end effector were examined. Results of experiments showed that a soft scouring pad is needed. Recommendations for further testing of components are given. |
