Following on from similar initiatives to gauge the involvement of women within the maritime industry and quantify where they work, for our next poll we would like to hear about the number of women that occupy senior roles within global port administrations. For many companies, this is still not a priority or a mere tick-box exercise. Having concrete data on the diversity of the workforce and how those that fare well in this regard compete against those that do not, is therefore important. It adds to the already well known fact that an inclusive port industry is also a resilient, competitive, and future-proof one. |
