As the contact point for questions of quay- and land-side infrastructure, navigational safety, and onward modal traffic, including rail, Dr Zuesongdham is responsible for resource efficiency, sustainable planning, and the implementation of infrastructure projects in the port. It has much to offer for a process management and automation expert, with the port's narrow berthing windows, thanks to tides, making every second count. With such a press on efficiencies, as well as an ever-increasing need to cut emissions and improve energy use, Dr Zuesongdham finds that ports' traditional business models simply are not up to the job. |
