| 摘要： | When researching the article about decarboniza-tion in African Island state ports, I was struck by the immense potential that technology has to benefit the maritime sector in developing regions such as Africa. The ability to move away from paper-based systems to digital platforms opens up opportunities not just to optimize operations but also draw in new partners. The onset of industrial action at ports in Germany and the United Kingdom last year was, it seems, a canary in the coal mine moment foreshadowing more widespread strikes across different industries as workers attempt to mitigate the cost of rising inflation and falling living standards. But was the port disruption a one-off or will rising discontent lead to more people taking to picket lines in Europe, the United States, and other regions in 2023? |
