| 摘要： | To better understand the state of shipwrecks and the general marine history in the United Kingdom, conservation body Historic England has launched a campaign titled Unpath'd Waters. "The UK Marine Area extends over some 867,400 km2, equivalent to three and a half times the terrestrial land surface. It encompasses submerged prehistoric landscapes, inundated monuments and settlements, wrecks and aircraft losses, maritime industrial and military complexes, coastal and intertidal archaeology, seaside resorts, ports, and dockyards. The public already engages with this heritage and there's huge potential to address key research themes," the project website stated. |
