In 2014, the Natural Sounds and Night Skies Division (NSNSD) received a request to collect baseline acoustical data at Chaco Culture National Historic Park (CHCU). During the months of May and June, 2014, four acoustical monitoring systems were deployed for approximately 40 days each. The goal of the TAR was to complete a baseline soundscape inventory. This inventory will be used to establish indicators and standards of soundscape quality that will support the park in developing a comprehensive approach to soundscape management planning. |
