| 摘要： | T-M Foundations provides an introduction to the field including communication, semiotics, holonomy, as well as a review of visual, acoustic, electronic processes; taxonomy, design, culture are also included. Transportation-Markings (T-M) is an integrative and wholistic study of all forms of safety aids in the realm of transportation. T-M can be defined as any device (external to a mode of transportation) that aids a means of transportation by giving information, providing regulations, or expressing warnings. Safety aids provides an alternative term though less specific. T-M views safety aids as possessing a shared commonality transcending the boundaries of transportation modes. Traditionally safety aids are associated with one mode of transportation and not all T-M forms. Railway signals, for example, are attached to trains and track, not to marine aids to navigation, traffic control devices, or aero navigation aids. |
