| 摘要： | In 2011, the average vessel size per call at U.S. ports was 53,955 DWT, up 6.5 percent from five years before. The average size of containerships increased by 13.3 percent in terms of TEU capacity (9.9 percent in terms of DWT) as carriers expanded the deployment of post-panamax (5,000+ TEU) containerships in U.S. trades. The average size of dry bulk carriers increased by 20.5 percent reflecting a sharp increase in U.S. coal exports which tend to move in larger vessels than grains, the other major U.S. dry bulk export. |
